🎯 Acoustic Treatment Guide
The 20-30% Rule: Cover 20-30% of wall/ceiling surface with absorption. Too much creates a "dead" room; too little leaves echo.
First Reflection Points: Use the mirror trick—sit at your listening spot. Have someone move a mirror along the side walls. Where you see the speakers = place panels.
Bass Traps Are Essential: Low frequencies gather in corners. Place thick panels (4-6 inches) in ceiling corners and floor tri-corners for bass control.
Common Mistake: Don't just cover the wall behind speakers! Focus on side walls and ceiling first reflection points—that's where most problems occur.
Panel Thickness: 2" panels = 250Hz+, 4" panels = 125Hz+, 6" corner traps = 80Hz+. Thicker is better for low frequencies.
