Don't let the name scare you. "Antilog" just means exponentiation. Antilog base 10 of 2 is just 10². Antilog base 2 of 3 is just 2³.
Always check the base. In engineering, "log" often means base 10. In computer science, it might mean base 2. In math, "ln" is base e.
Remember: log(antilog(x)) = x. They cancel each other out, just like multiplication and division.
Using base 10 when you meant base e (or vice versa) gives completely different answers. 10² = 100, but e² ≈ 7.39.
Standard logarithms and antilogs are defined for positive bases only (b > 0, b ≠ 1).
Remember that the input to an antilog function is the exponent. If you input 3 for base 10, you are calculating 10³, not finding the log of 3.
